Bowling Green State is a public university. Founded as a teacher-training institution in 1910, it began granting bachelor's degrees in 1929. Programs are offered through the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Education and Human Development, Health and Human Services, Musical Arts, and Technology, Architecture and Applied Engineering. Its 1,338-acre campus is located in Bowling Green, 25 miles south of Toledo.
