California College of the Arts. Empowering students to make art that makes a difference.
California College of the Arts (CCA), founded in 1907, offers studies in 21 undergraduate and 11 graduate majors in the areas of fine art, architecture, design, and writing. The college’s two campuses, in San Francisco and Oakland, provide world-class facilities to support contemporary art and design practice. More than 500 highly regarded artists, designers and scholars instruct a population of approximately 1,450 undergraduate and 467 graduate students.
Students at CCA discover cross-disciplinary opportunities, innovative courses with real-world applications, outstanding faculty, successful alumni, and a dynamic campus environment. Wherever their art takes them—producing an experimental film, painting outside the canvas, designing sustainable products, or working in the community—CCA offers an ideal environment to make it happen. Students develop competencies that will serve them well, both while they are in school and long after they graduate. Our alumni have been successful in all kinds of creative endeavors.
