Northwest Iowa Community College offers two smart options: Technical programs or Arts and Sciences transfer courses Ability. Talent. Handiness. In the Technical Programs at Northwest Iowa Community College, we talk a lot about skills and hands-on learning. If you choose to be in one of our technical programs, you'll learn that your success is all about the hands-on skills you get while you're here. You'll work on equipment in labs that are state-of-the-art. You'll be guided by instructors who have been out there in the real world. They'll teach you what you need to know. So whether you're interested in auto body or powerline; maybe you want to be a mechanic, an electrician or a machinist; if welding, CAD drafting, construction technology, or heavy equipment is more your style, you'll find it at NCC. We'll prepare you for the workforce. You'll graduate with solid skills and abilities that will land you a job with the confidence to make good decisions with your career. Many of NCC’s technical programs transfer to 4-year colleges and universities! START HERE - THEN TRANSFER Northwest Iowa Community College also offers Arts and Sciences transfer programs. It makes sense. Start here by taking the basic core courses. For two years you'll save a lot of money and stay closer to home; then you can transfer to a 4-year college or university. Want to be an accountant or a teacher? Maybe you want to be a human resource manager or physician. It's all within your reach when you choose NCC. NCC has many agreements so you can transfer to a four-year College. Some of NCC’s partners are: •Iowa State University and the University of Iowa both have signed seamless transfer agreements with NCC. There are many degrees now available through this agreement. You will receive an advisor for both NCC and ISU or U of I to make your transition as easy as possible. •Briar Cliff University, Sioux City. This program allows students to earn a four-year degree without leaving the NCC campus. Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Accounting, and an online RN to BSN program are some of the programs offered. •Bellevue University, Bellevue, NE. This program makes it possible for students to complete their Bachelor's Degree through Bellevue University the following year after they complete their Associate's two-year degree either online or on a campus. •Northwestern College, Orange City. This program allows students in designated two-year Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree programs at NCC to continue their education at Northwestern College to earn a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Elementary Education or Business Administration. •Dordt College, Sioux Center. This program allows students in designated two-year Associate of Applied Science (A.S.) degree programs at NCC to continue their education at Dordt College to earn a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Engineering Technology. •University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls. Through the Admissions Partnership Program, NCC students who plan to pursue bachelor's degrees at UNI will receive special benefits to help pave the way for academic success at both schools. •Buena Vista University, Storm Lake. This program offers online and on campus degree completion programs in: Accounting, Bachelor of Applied Studies, Business Administration, Business Economics, Criminology and Criminal Justice, Health Services Leadership, Human Services, Finance and Banking, Management, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, Wellness Management, and Public Administration. •Other schools NCC students transfer to: South Dakota State University, Morningside College, University of South Dakota and many more. Many four year college and university representatives are on campus on the days and times listed below throughout the semester when classes are in session.
