Idaho State University, founded in 1901, is a four-year public university that offers graduate, undergraduate, and associates degress. ISU has been designated a Carengie research high institution, a classification given to fewer than 100 of the more than 4,600 colleges and universities in the US. In the summer of 2013, ISU was recognized by Affordable Colleges Online as one of the top 15 low-cost universities with high starting salaries for graduates. Programs are offered through the Colleges of Arts & Letters, Business, Education, Science & Engineering, Health Sciences & Professions, Pharmacy, and the College of Technology. Its 735-acre campus is located in a residential area of Pocatello, in the southeastern corner of Idaho. ISU also has centers in Meridian, Idaho Falls, and Twin Falls.
