Description
Scholarship for New Hampshire residents who plan to improve their workforce skills, especially in areas of need in the State of New Hampshire. Awards are made to individuals of any age who are enrolling in any accredited vocational or technical program that does NOT lead to a four-year baccalaureate or advanced degree. Students may be planning to attend a community college, vocational school, trade school, apprenticeship or other training program such as tractor trailer school, HVAV certification, nursing assistant, etc. Preference will be given to applicants whose fields are in the traditional manufacturing trade sector (plumbing, electrical, construction, etc.); or have a clear vision of how education will help them; or who have had little or no other educational or training opportunitites. Academic excellence is not a factor in selecting candidates. No deadline for application. Number of awards and award amount varies.
